Dr. Bridget Blake
Dr. Bridget Blake is the First Lady of Georgia State University. In her professional career, she serves as a principal systems engineer for the MITRE Corporation, working to improve the quality of the nation’s healthcare. Dr. Bridget, as she is known around campus, received her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech. She holds a master’s degree in business administration with concentrations in management and finance from Johns Hopkins University and a doctorate in business administration in leadership decision-making from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
In support of Georgia State’s Identity, Placemaking, and Belonging and Student Success 2.0 strategic pillars, Dr. Bridget uses her expertise and time to champion financial literacy programming, promote the arts while serving on the board of the Rialto Theater, build awareness for mental health resources, and increase understanding of different learning styles. Dr. Bridget is an enthusiastic GSU supporter, cheering on the Panthers in person whenever she can. She and President Blake have two sons, Brendan and Bryce.
