There’s something truly inspiring about being in a room filled with passionate, driven students ready to share their work with the world. At this year’s Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, it was my pleasure to meet the enthusiastic finalists.

Since 2020, the Mario A.J. Bennekin Black History Symposium has served as a key placemaking initiative that offers Georgia State students an opportunity to gain new insight and build community around scholarly endeavors.
It was incredible to see such a great turnout at the groundbreaking ceremony for our new Georgia State University Research Tower, located off Decatur Street in the heart of our downtown Atlanta campus.
As you may have seen late last week, the University System of Georgia released the agenda for today’s Board of Regents meeting, which included a proposed action to start certain projects related to our Building Pathways to Success project — funded by the $80 million gift from the Woodruff Foundation.

After completing a thorough search, I am pleased to announce that Jo Ann Herold has accepted the role of vice president for Public Relations and Marketing Communications at Georgia State University.
