Dear Panther Family,
It was both an honor and a privilege to present my first State of the University Address for the Georgia State community. This address is more than a traditional speech, it is a tremendous moment to reflect on how far we’ve progressed as a university and share our strategic vision for the future we are collaborating to build together. I’m incredibly proud of the progress we are making in implementing the four pillars of our strategic plan, BluePrint to 2033.
We are making strides in all our strategic pillars. For our Student Success 2.0 and Beyond College to Career pillars, we are diligently increasing our corporate and government partnerships to provide GSU students with even more experiential learning and networking opportunities to equip them to seamlessly transition into their chosen career paths upon graduation.
Innovating Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity is evident in the success of our exemplary faculty as they earned nearly $186 million in research awards in FY24. As a growing university, the success of our over 53,000 students have always been our top priority. For our Identity, Placemaking and Belonging pillar, we continue to revitalize and expand all six GSU campuses and break ground on new construction projects such as the GSU Research Tower.
Thank you to our students, faculty and staff who make Georgia State University so strong. I invite you to visit The Official State of the University website, to watch the full address and learn more about the initiatives shaping the future of GSU.
Thank you for being part of this wonderful journey.
All the best,
