Dear Panther Family,
I am thrilled to announce the next steps in our strategic plan, BluePrint to 2033, which will guide our institution over the next decade with vision, purpose and ambition.
At the heart of this plan lies our commitment to excellence in education, research and service. We aim to build upon our strong foundation as a premier urban research university, known for our innovation and as the national model for student success.
Since we officially launched the strategic plan back in September 2023, our taskforces have worked tirelessly to refine the plan’s focus areas, which are organized into four pillars:
- Identity, Placemaking and Belonging
- Innovating Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity
- Student Success 2.0
- Beyond College to Career
Under each of our pillars, we have developed several strategic initiatives — some that are well on their way and others that we are ready to set into motion. These initiatives are driven by specific goals identified by our Strategic Planning Committee, shaped with input and feedback from you, the Georgia State family.
These initiatives range from creating a university health-related research center to developing an on-campus worker-learner program, and from developing and introducing a new GSU Mobile App to establishing a Panther Quad on every campus — places where the university community can gather.
The success of these new strategic initiatives will be measured by key performance indicators on how they are implemented, as well as by their outcomes.
During this implementation phase, we will be sharing our progress regularly and, again, we will want your thoughts as we proceed.
I’m certain we will continue to build a future where every student achieves their full potential, where our research transforms lives and where our community thrives. I invite each of you to join us on this transformative journey. Together we’ll shape the future of Georgia State as a leader in higher education.
