Dear Panther Family,
I hope that you and your families are safe after Hurricane Helene brought heavy rain and high winds across the state.
The storm was unprecedented, and I know that many of you have been impacted. There are still hurdles to clear.
We ask that you continue to remain safe, because dangerous conditions remain for the community. The combination of flooding and strong winds could lead to downed trees and power outages.
We are currently evaluating our campuses for impacts from the storm. We are planning to resume regular operations on Monday, Sept. 30.
All weekend events, including Family Weekend activities and the big football game against Georgia Southern at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Center Parc Stadium, will be held as planned. And we hope to see you there!
Please check gsu.edu for updates regarding safety and campus operations.
For any emergencies on campus, contact the GSU Police at 404-413-3333 or use the GSU LiveSafe app.
All the best,
