In honor of Women’s History Month and World Storytelling Day, Cultures, Communities and Inclusion (CCI) celebrated the incredible stories and achievements of influential women at Georgia State and beyond at the 2024 Women’s HERstory Brunch.
My lovely wife and the First Lady of Georgia State University, Dr. Bridget Blake, delivered the keynote address, engaging the audience with her insightful perspectives and inspirational message. This wonderful event, which was open to all members of the GSU community, was a great opportunity for attendees to foster meaningful connections, and uplift and empower one another to create a stronger sense of belonging and community.
Belonging and building community are essential components that enable our university to thrive. This is why “Identity, Placemaking, and Belonging”, is a key pillar of our strategic plan, “Blueprint to 2033: Our Place, Our Time”, where we strive to make GSU a “college town, downtown” where individuals want to learn, study, play, and connect.
I hope this event served as a source of inspiration for all who were able to attend. We will continue to provide similar events throughout the year. Hope to see you then!
