Dear Panther Family,
With the start of autumn, the Georgia State University community eagerly anticipates the return of a 107-year-old campus tradition. That’s right, GSU Homecoming is here!
This annual celebration, steeped in tradition since 1916, is at the heart of our university, uniting students, alumni, faculty, staff and Panther family members for a week of festivities and Panther Pride.
Homecoming at GSU is an incredible time for Panthers to reconnect with friends, meet new people, and make lasting memories. As president, I can attest to the electric energy and excitement that buzzes throughout our 6 campuses during Homecoming week. From the spectacular Homecoming parade in Downtown Atlanta to the step show, concert, alumni socials, tailgates, and action-packed football game. Each year brings new and unforgettable experiences.
So, what can you expect at this year’s Homecoming? Get ready for a fun filled week of events that are sure to be bigger than ever before.
Also, I want to welcome home our Greek alumni! After the Alumni Tailgate on Saturday, October 14 at Victory Plaza, I’ll be outside the tailgate in front of the stadium near Gate 6 for a “Greek Meet and Greet”. Join me and your fellow Greek alumni for a group picture at 6:30 pm.
There will be no shortage of entertainment for all. So, rally your friends and family and prepare to make memories that will last a lifetime. Visit our official Homecoming 2023 website, https://homecoming.gsu.edu, to stay updated on all the activities that await. It’s going to be an extremely busy week as I aim to attend as many events as possible. I look forward to seeing you all there!
All the best,
