Dear Panther Family,
In the heart of New York City, current and future business leaders from Georgia State, gathered to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the prestigious “Panthers on Wall Street” program.
Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business has been at the forefront of preparing young professionals for careers in finance and other business disciplines, for many years. An immersive program like Panthers on Wall Street is an essential part of this endeavor. Each year, a select group of students enter the program to embark on a journey that aims to bridge the gap between academic excellence and real-world finance.
One of the four pillars of Georgia State’s new strategic plan, “Blueprint to 2033 — Our Place, Our Time”, is the “Beyond College to Career” pillar which is all about empowering Georgia State students to be lifelong learners by providing them with hands-on learning experiences. Partnerships like the ones GSU has on Wall Street are key.
This wonderful event served as both a reunion for Panthers on Wall Street alumni and an opportunity for the new cohort to connect. Also in attendance were faculty, staff, donors, family and friends. I want to personally thank those who continue to support Panthers on Wall Street and the Robinson College of Business. Their generous contributions make remarkable programs like this possible!
Networking is often regarded as vitally important to success in business, and this event embodied that principle. True networking isn’t about trading business cards and social media handles. In my experience as a professional both in engineering and later in higher education, the pathway to success is not only paved with knowledge, but also built upon the strength of meaningful connections. It was an honor to be a part of such an impactful celebration. I look forward to continuing to see Georgia State students learn and grow during their time at GSU and beyond.
All the best,
