Dear Panther Family,
As I reflect on National Employee Appreciation Day, my second year at Georgia State, I remain deeply inspired and grateful. Many of you are still managing the aftermath of the pandemic, the economy, and social and political events that impact our city, nation, and world, both personally and professionally. Yet, you come to work every day and you give your best.
You do this even though you know, as do I, that current resources, both capital and human, do not measure up to our dreams for Georgia State. Some days we struggle to meet all of our institutional needs. Yet, you continue to focus on our important mission to educate, discover, and serve. You are working harder and you are going above and beyond every day. I am humbled by your efforts and your dedication.
On this day, I hope that you remember that you are appreciated, and your work is important.
