To our Panther Community,
With the observation of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism, approaching this week, I wanted to take a moment to express my support for Georgia State’s Jewish community today and every day.
As you may be aware, we are looking into an off-campus incident where a message that does not reflect our university’s values was posted. You can learn more here.
I condemn any and all messages of hate –whether they be messages of antisemitism, racism or other language that seeks to divide. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. Antisemitism has no place at Georgia State or anywhere else.
We encourage all members of our community to report all potential violations of our Code of Conduct to the Office of the Dean of Students using the online incident reporting form.
There are support resources at the university for anyone who has been victimized through the office of Student Victim Assistance. That office can assist with both on and off-campus concerns. Visit the website for more information.
Vice President for Student Engagement Michael Sanseviro is expanding our focus on faith and spirituality within our Cultures, Communities, and Inclusion team within the Office of the Dean of Students. This is another great partnership opportunity as we work together to educate the broader Georgia State community about acceptance and inclusion.
